Smittybilt has been making the highest quality Jeep parts and accessories for more than half a century.  It all began back in 1956 in the home garage of a man named Basil “Smitty” Smith.  He operated a small machine shop in that garage.  The name of the small shop was Rock-ett Products.  Little did he know that more than 50 years later, his business would be a company large enough to employ thousands and manufacture more than 2,000 different and unique parts and accessories.  In fact, many of the accessories that you see on any random Jeep are Smittybilt.

These bumpers are made to fit your specific Jeep – year, make and model.  The strength of the bumpers comes from the durable, one piece, stainless steel design.  For a bit of flair, they have also added a pair of vertical uprights to the bumper.  These bumper are all precision welded robotically and as such offer extreme durability no matter where you may be driving.

These tubular bumpers are available for both ends of the Jeep too.  The rear bumper is complete with a tow hitch receiver rated to 2,000 pounds.  The bumpers are available in a triple chrome plate finish or a polished finish.  They come with a warranty that is good for 3 years and the stainless steel finished ones have a lifetime warranty.

Poison Spyder Custom RockBrawler Front Bumper

The RockBrawler made by Poison Spyder is the bumper you need when you are a wheeler in search of a bumper that has a brawny attitude in tandem with pure hardcore function.  This bumper has been constructed from high pressure steel plate that is 3/16 of an inch thick that has been laser cut and then brake formed to ensure a fit that is precise.  The stinger of the RockBrawler has been constructed from .120 wall DOM tube that has a diameter of 1 ¾ inches.  This stinger extends all the way inside the shell of the bumper to the inner braces which adds even more strength to the construction.

This bumper includes a pair of D ring shackle mounts.  These mounts have been CNC machined from plate steel that is an entire inch thick.  This provides the brute strength that is necessary to be able to handle even the most demanding of recovery applications.    

While we are talking about recovery applications, there is a winch mount that has been integrated into this bumper.  This mount will accept winches from nearly any manufacturer as long as the winch has a capacity of 15,000 pounds or lower.  This includes the PowerPlant made by WARN that is equipped with the integrated air compressor.  Also integrated into the bumper is the plate for the winch fairlead.  This plate serves double duty as a gusset for the stinger and comes complete with the oval lightning holes that are exclusive to Poison Spyder.  Also included are light mounts for those who wish to relocate the OE fog lights or even to add aftermarket lighting.  The mounts are recessed and will protect the lights they house with their steel construction.

Yet another feature of the RockBrawler is the amount of tire clearance you get – which will blow your mind.  See, the ends of the bumper are actually faceted and then given an inward angle.  This gives you the ultimate amount of clearance possible for your larger wheels and tires.  If you know anything about these things then you will appreciate the fact that this bumper allows for maximized movement of the suspension combined with maximum articulation.  Because of the angled silhouette of this bumper, there is a much larger than expected amount of clearance for the tires while the lower corner of your grille is still protected.
