aFe Large Bore HD Cat – Back Exhaust System

Before we get started with the details about this exhaust system there are a few things that you may want to know:

·         Exhaust tips are not going to be included with the aFe 4 inch large bore exhaust systems

·         You can get these large bore exhaust systems with an straight flow through muffler with a diameter of up to 8 inches when you want something that is supreme at letting air out

·         With the large bore exhaust for diesel engines, you can gain up to 5 horsepower while increasing the flow and torque.  These will also assist in improvement of your fuel economy.  There is not any welding required for installation, they are made from aluminized steel tubing with a diameter of 4 inches.  This tubing has been mandrel bent, has hangers that are adjustable and features bends that are smooth

·         You can choose your aluminized steel in either Tom Kit, Cat Back or Turbo Back

·         Exhaust tips are sold separately but the tips with a 5 inch diameter finish the system perfectly.  They offer an enhanced appearance and a nice sound that is very throaty

·         All of the brackets and hardware necessary for a safe and easy OE installation and included along with very detailed installation instructions

·         Each one of the turbo back systems are intended for off road use.  There may be exceptions if there have been modifications to the catalytic converter in order to retain the necessary parts for them to be considered street legal

The large bore exhaust systems made by aFe has been dyno proven to be able to increase power while reducing EGT.  These diesel exhaust systems have mandrel bends.  Mandrel bends are special because of the fact that they do not squash the tubes like what you see with OE style bends.  While mandrel bends are more difficult to manufacture, they are worth it when it comes to getting the best components for your truck.

The baffle muffler is AEM seam welded and louvered which means that there is no fiberglass for it to blow out.  The design is one that is straight through and will deliver a sound that is both mellow and deep.
